Test X180 Alpha Review
Test X180 Alpha is a testosterone supplement from Force Factor. Force Factor’s website claims, “With Text X180 Alpha, you are invited to join the ranks of these few elite men for whom explosive sexual performance and impressive physical strength are a way of life.”
They also say, “Text X180 Alpha delivers the unadulterated fuel you need to help you reach the pinnacle of sexual and physical performance…so you can satisfy your primal instincts and assume your role as alpha male.”
Though users may think these statements sound pretty great, I have my doubts. Most testosterone supplements I’ve come across have claimed to revolutionize both workouts and sex, but they’re actually ineffective. What makes Test X180 Alpha any different? Will it actually live up to its promises?
About the Manufacturer
Force Factor is a sports nutrition supplement company. It was founded in 2009 by two Harvard University rowers, according to the company’s website. Less than a year later, Force Factor received GNC’s Rising Star award.
Force Factor says, “Our products provide your body with what it needs to build lean muscle fast, burn fat, recover safely, and perform at the highest level with explosive energy.”
Additionally, Force Factor is a Better Business Bureau-accredited business with an A- rating. This is very impressive because most supplement developers have low BBB ratings, and few companies are BBB-accredited. Force Factor has such a high BBB rating because they have responded to every complaint made against the company in the last three years.
However, a high BBB rating doesn’t necessarily guarantee effective products. The BBB website states, “BBB accreditation does not mean that the business’ products or services have been evaluated or endorsed by BBB, or that BBB has made a determination as to the business’ product quality or competency in performing services.”
In fact, Force Factor’s BBB file lists a sample of the customer complaints, as well as Force Factor’s responses.
Daryl W. said on Oct. 30, 2012, “This company is scamming people daily…free trial is an auto-order swindle charging your credit card monthly!”
Another user, Michael K., said on May 4, 2012, “I along with the majority of other complaints signed up for the ‘free sample’ with a shipping cost of $4.99. After about three weeks, my credit card was charged $79.35. When I called to inquire about the charges, I found out I was automatically enrolled in an ‘auto-fill’ of the product on a monthly basis…I was told there was nothing that could be done.”
These complaints technically were addressed by Force Factor; however, the responses were identical to each other. Even though Force Factor is in good standing with the BBB, I’m not confident in the company’s customer service. Let’s see if Test X180 Alpha is worth the trouble.
The Test X180 Alpha Formula
Test X180 Alpha includes two proprietary blends: Sexual Performance Blend and Free Testosterone Boosting Matrix. The Sexual Performance Blend contains the following ingredients:
Muira Puama Root Extract
As muira puama root increases testosterone, it improves blood flow to the prostate. This improves sexual function and increases sex drive.
Catuaba Bark Extract
Catuaba bark improves sexual function by enhancing nervous system reactions, increasing endurance, and boosting energy.
Maca Root Extract
Maca root increases strength, reduces fatigue, boosts libido, and increases stamina.
Test X180 Alpha’s Free Testosterone Boosting Matrix contains:
Testofen Fenugreek Seed Extract
Testofen is a patented form of fenugreek seed extract. It boosts testosterone levels and in turn increases libido and muscular health.
Stinging Nettle Root Extract
Stinging nettle root increases free testosterone by binding to the sex hormone-binding globulin (SHBG). Normally, SHBG binds to testosterone in order to balance out the body’s estrogen levels. To prevent this, stinging nettle root binds to SHBG to free up more testosterone.
Test X180 Alpha also contains various testosterone-boosting vitamins and minerals, such as zinc (8 mg) and vitamins B6 (2 mg) and B12 (4mcg). These nutrients are able to increase T levels and improve blood flow.
Analyzing the Test X180 Alpha Ingredients
Test X180 Alpha contains some effective ingredients. However, these ingredients are part of the product’s proprietary blends, and thus their exact amounts are unknown.
Proprietary blends worry me because ingredients are only effective when taken at specific dosages. For example, maca root is effective when taken at 450 mg, and the proper dose of stinging nettle roost is 120 mg. Unfortunately, since the individual ingredient dosages are unknown, I’m not sure how well Test X180 Alpha works.
How to Use Test X180 Alpha
On workout days, take two capsules with breakfast and two more 30 minutes before exercising. On non-workout days, take two capsules with breakfast and two capsules with lunch.
Purchasing Test X180 Alpha
I wanted to learn more about Force Factor’s controversial “free trial offer” option, but unfortunately—or fortunately, depending on how you look at it—this offer is not yet available for Test X180 Alpha.
You can order Test X180 Alpha directly from Force Factor’s website for $139.99. GNC.com also sells Test X180 Alpha for $139.99. This is very expensive—especially considering the original Test X180 product costs just $69.99. Force Factor and GNC.com both sell 120-capsule bottles, which will last you for 30 days.
You have 30 days to return Test X180 Alpha for a full refund, minus shipping and handling fees. Unfortunately, in order to qualify for a refund, the bottle must be unopened, meaning you don’t actually have the opportunity to try Test X180 Alpha out.
The Bottom Line
I do not recommend Test X180 Alpha because the cons definitely outweigh the pros:
• Force Factor does not have a good reputation with its customers.
• Its formula contains uninformative proprietary blends.
• It is very expensive.
• Force Factor does not have a good return policy.
For these reasons, I think you’d be better off with a different testosterone supplement.
